Jorge, a graduate of both Tec de Monterrey and Singularity University, is co-founder and CTO of Miroculus, a life science company that provides fully automated, reproducible, and affordable solutions for molecular testing. We leverage a proprietary digital microfluidics technology (also known as electrowetting) to automate manually intensive experimental workflows on a low cost device. Miroculus IP extends to 4 issued patents and 27 patent applications within 12 different patent families. As a first application our platform allows users to obtain a ready to sequence library from a liquid biopsy sample at the press of a button. Prior to founding Miroculus, he co-founded CitiVox and later joined the office of the Presidency of Mexico as the deputy general director of civic innovation. Jorge is an Endeavor entrepreneur, World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer and MIT TR35.
