Taddy is a bestselling author and one of the world’s leading innovation experts -- assisting senior executives around the world to improve innovation outcomes and drive growth. He specializes in new business creation, product development, innovation process improvement, and organizational transformation.
Taddy is also responsible for original research and thought leadership for innovation at Nielsen and Cambridge. He is the lead author on the 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 Nielsen Breakthrough Innovation Reports (Nielsen.com/breakthrough).
Over the last 15-years, Taddy has collaborated with Harvard Business School Professor and innovation authority, Clayton M. Christensen, on the publication of The Innovator’s Solution and Marketing Malpractice (HBR), as well as on numerous advisory and research projects. With Prof. Christensen, Taddy has co-authored a bestselling book on Jobs Theory and the science of innovation, Competing Against Luck, (HarperCollins), released in October, 2016.
In recent years, Taddy and Prof. Christensen have worked to share their unique tools and frameworks to senior executives and entrepreneurs in emerging markets. Taddy has led projects involving more than 50-companies in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and The Philippines.
Taddy has worked actively with the Endeavor (www.endeavor.org) organization since 1997. As a Senior Advisor, Taddy assists Endeavor Entrepreneurs – a network of 2000+ chief executives in emerging markets – build profitable growth companies, create jobs, and cultivate entrepreneurial ecosystems.
Taddy began his career in the Venture Capital / Private Equity Industry, working for Advent International both in the US (3 yrs.) and Latin America (2 yrs.). He transitioned from finance to operations, managing five venture backed businesses – four of them technology/internet related and one with retail, manufacturing, and real estate development business units.
Taddy also served as the Chief Strategy Officer for the Advertising Research Foundation (2003-2008) where he leveraged deep expertise in media, digital technologies, and research methodologies to help senior executives develop effective business models, growth plans, and go-to-market strategies.
Taddy is a recognized authority in the fields of marketing, innovation, branding, and growth strategy. His articles on innovation have appeared in The Harvard Business Review (12/2005, 1/2009, 9/2016), The Wall Street Journal, Ad Age, Huffington Post, Time Magazine, Business Insider, Chief Executive, and CMO Magazine. Taddy is also co-author of The Online Advertising Playbook, published by J. Wiley in April, 2007.
Taddy holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard University. At Harvard Taddy worked as an Independent Researcher with Competitive Strategy authority, Professor Michael. E. Porter, to develop and implement strategies for competitive inner city economies.
